Did you know that Harrison County, Texas was a main area for slave trade and slave owners in the 1800s? I am writing a book based off my ancestors tales, census reports, newspapers and probate records. I will do my best to tell both sides of the story - from the slave owner and the enslaved after they were freed if I can find it. Remember our History.
